Student living in Preston

Preston was granted city status in 2002 and is rightly viewed as an up-and-coming place where students can enjoy a vast and diverse array of experiences.

With the student housing located barely 5 minutes away from the centre of Preston, you are never far away from the wonderful variety of bars, night clubs, restaurants and attractions. The phrase ‘spoilt for choice’ springs to mind! 

Tasty grub is only ever around the corner, with a host of national chains from which to choose, including Pizza Express, Turtle Bay and Nando’s. Every other imaginable kind of food can also be found around the city! 

If drinking and dancing is at the top of your agenda, be sure to check out Kuckoo and Macs, both modern night clubs offering up great music all night long. Elsewhere, Warehouse on St John’s Place provides three floors of indie and rock music, and it also has an awesome claim to fame – the one and only Joy Division used to hang out there! 

History enthusiasts will be delighted by Harris Museum and Art Gallery, which showcases the area’s proud history and art in exhibitions held throughout the year. The museum is a quarter-of-an-hour’s stroll from your student accommodation.
